About the Author

Max Tegmark is a physicist, cosmologist, and machine learning researcher. He teaches at MIT, and runs the Future of Life Institute — a nonprofit organization that works to reduce global catastrophic and existential risks facing humanity, particularly existential risk from advanced artificial intelligence (AI).
