I’ve only been to Calgary during the winter, and my first impression was: What the hell is all this mud? Fair enough, the arrival day was warm enough that the snow had melted, which created some nasty mud on the roads. No cars were safe from the mud.
Public Transportation in Calgary
Calgary has a free fare zone that goes from Downtown West/Kerby to City Hall. If you plan on going to Calgary, I’d recommend staying downtown. You can do most things by feet, or by taking advantage of the free fare zone.
